UNDERSTANDING GLOBAL CHANGE GOOGLE HANGOUT

At 8 pm EST on Sunday, Jan. 25, 2015, Joe Levine, co-author of Biology—the most widely used high school biology textbook in the nation—discussed climate change with KSTF Fellows and others via a Google Hangout On Air. His talk—entitled “Understanding Global Change: Welcome to the Anthropocene!”—covered what human-driven climate change means for life in the 21st century, as well as pedagogical approaches and a review some of the best online teaching resources with an eye on NGSS. A recording of the Hangout can be viewed below.

As a bystander (but with a heavy vested interest!) I’d like to add my kudos for the open, helpful, teacher-friendly approach that Chris and Joe have taken in this difficult venture!

    Fellows…KEEP IT UP!!
