Program Officer for Teacher Development
Our immediate need is for a Teacher Developer with a mathematics education background who will join a team supporting fellows during their third and fourth years of the fellowship, focusing on developing exemplary teaching practices, an inquiry stance towards teaching and leadership capacity. Although preference will be given to applicants with a background in mathematics education, we will consider highlyqualified applicants who have background in any STEM field. The position requires inperson and online mentoring of fellows and working collaboratively with experts in various aspects of science and/or mathematics education to implement and evaluate a fiveyear comprehensive and cohesive professional development experience for fellows. Teacher Developers are expected to contribute to KSTF efforts to synthesize and use existing research, as well as contribute to the research on teacher development, teacher leadership and the effective teaching and learning of math and science at the high school level. The Teacher Developer will be a crucial contributor to the success of the KSTF Teaching Fellowship and must be committed to continually developing his or her own professional knowledge and skills. OPEN Postions
Controller
The Knowles Science Teaching Foundation (KSTF), located in Moorestown, New Jersey is currently seeking a controller. The controller will be responsible for the financial management of the Knowles Science Teaching Foundation’s operating budget. This includes developing and maintaining accounting procedures, developing and preparing financial reports, financial statements and analysis, overseeing daily accounting activities and executing the monthly closing process. The controller will also be responsible for maintaining internal control systems and processes and ensure compliance with US GAAP Policies and managing any grant funding audits (i.e. A-133). This person will be responsible for managing KSTF’s accounting department and the relationship with our external auditors. It is essential that the individual selected to fill this position have experience working at a non-profit organization that was engaged in fundraising activities.
