Laurie Boswell earned a M Ed in Secondary Mathematics in 1978 from Plymouth State University in Plymouth, NH. She is in her 27th year as a secondary-level mathematics teacher. She currently teaches at The Riverside School in Lyndonville, VT. Throughout her career she has been active in the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics, and is currently on its Board of Directors. Ms. Boswell received a Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics Teaching, and a Woodrow Wilson Fellowship at Princeton University in 1986. She also received a Tandy Technology Scholar Award in 1992. She has authored elementary, middle, secondary, and college textbooks with more than a dozen of them still current.
