Teaching Fellowship Interviewers

Each year, approximately 72 finalists for the KSTF Teaching Fellowships travel to Philadelphia to participate in the selection weekend. During the weekend, each finalist is interviewed by a team of three people in order to assess that candidate’s eligibility for the fellowship according to KSTF’s selection criteria. The interview teams each consist of a scientist or mathematician, a science or math teacher educator and a veteran science or math teacher. The following individuals served as interviewers in the selection of the 2009 cohort of KSTF Teaching Fellows. INTERVIEWERS >>

Resource Teachers

Teaching Fellowship Consultants

KSTF Teaching Fellows engage with a variety of experts in science and mathematics education throughout the five-year tenure of the fellowship. Fall and spring cohort meetings are planned to meet the needs of the fellows at various stages in their careers and expert consultants are invited to lead workshops on topics such as inquiry methods of teaching, formative assessment, differentiating instruction and becoming teacher leaders. The following individuals worked with KSTF Teaching Fellows during the 2008-2009 academic year. TEACHING CONSULTANTS >>

Research Fellowship Reviewers

Applicants to the KSTF Research Fellowship program first submit pre-proposals, which are reviewed by panels of reviewers at universities around the country. The reviewers provide substantive feedback to applicants on the viability of their proposals and suggestions for improvement. Applicants who choose to go forward with the application process then submit full proposals, which are reviewed by a panel of reviewers who meet to discuss the merits of each proposal. The following scholars in science and mathematics education provided invaluable service to KSTF and the early career scholars submitting research fellow applications for the 2009 selection cycle.
